COLOR & APPEARANCE CONTROL

Anodized color and texture can vary with alloy, surface preparation, coating thickness and batch conditions. For appearance-critical parts, approved samples or visual standards can be used for comparison.

DIMENSIONAL EFFECT

Anodizing adds coating thickness to the surface. Critical bores, threads, mating surfaces and tight-fit features may require masking, machining allowance or post-finishing verification.

COATING THICKNESS Coating thickness should be considered for threads, bores, bearing fits, sealing surfaces and other mating features. Masking, dimensional allowance or post-finishing verification may be required.

FINISH CONTROL & INSPECTION

Appearance & Color

Review of color, gloss, texture, directional grain and cosmetic consistency against the specified reference.

Surface Texture & Roughness

Verification of specified roughness or representative texture where the finish and accessible geometry allow.

Coating Coverage & Thickness

Review of coverage and required coating thickness according to the selected process and drawing specification.

Masking Boundaries

Verification that threads, bores, sealing faces, contacts and defined no-finish areas are protected where required.

Post-Finishing Dimensions

Rechecking critical fits, bores, threads and mating features after finishing where dimensional change is relevant.

Handling & Protection

Inspection for scratches, contact marks and cosmetic damage, followed by suitable separation and packing.

Finish acceptance is based on the process-specific requirement—not one universal surface metric.
